The farmer went out to his field in the morning and began digging the soil, but after passing through several layers, what he discovered underground shocked him.

The farmer had been working on his plot since the early morning. That summer was unusually dry, and the soil seemed to have hardened under the scorching sun. He decided to dig deeper — maybe he could find groundwater and save his garden and fields.

He took his old but reliable shovel and began digging the soil. At first, the ground was ordinary — dry, dusty, and hard. From time to time he stopped, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and continued working.

After a few hours, the hole was already quite deep. And at the very moment he drove the shovel into the ground with force, a strange sound suddenly echoed.

It was not the usual sound of stone. It was dull, but with a metallic tone. The farmer paused for a moment. He tried hitting the same spot again.

He began carefully clearing the soil with the edge of the shovel, then even with his hands. And after removing a few more layers of earth, beneath it he saw something that froze him with horror.

The farmer pushed the remaining soil aside and lifted the lid with great effort.

Below opened a dark hole, and in its depths a stone staircase could be seen, leading underground.

He directed the light there with caution and curiosity.

What he saw truly astonished him.

Beneath the ground lay an ancient stone hall, whose walls were covered with the same mysterious signs, and in the center of the hall stood a large stone table. On the table, a small crystal glowed quietly, as if radiating its own light.

The farmer realized that he had not been searching for water alone, but had stumbled upon something far more extraordinary…
