The chestnut horse suddenly jumped right in front of the car, started snorting, striking the asphalt with its hooves, and stared straight at me: and then I saw something terrifying 

Yesterday I almost got into an accident. And the cause of my near-crash was… a horse.

Yes, you read that right — a real, huge chestnut horse.

The story started off normally: I was driving along an empty road, in the fog, going about my business. The road was quiet, with only forest around and a few dry, scattered trees. Suddenly, something strange leapt out in front of me. At the very last second, I hit the brakes, the tires screeched, and the car stopped just a few centimeters from the animal.

In front of me, reared up on its hind legs, stood the horse. It snorted, struck the asphalt with its hooves, and looked straight through the windshield as if it was trying to stop me. My heart was pounding so hard that I didn’t dare get out at first. But the horse clearly wasn’t going to run away — it was nervous and seemed to be trying to say something.

I carefully opened the door and stepped out. The horse immediately bolted toward the forest. Something inside me told me I had to follow. I locked the car doors and ran after it.

We stopped at an old, abandoned well. The horse stomped beside it, hit the ground with its hoof, and snorted, glancing down again and again. I approached, and when I looked inside, I froze in horror…  Down there was… Continued in the first comment 

At the bottom, in the darkness, was a man. He was barely alive, moving with difficulty and groaning faintly. I immediately called the rescue services and an ambulance, shouting down to him that help was on the way.

When they finally pulled him up to the surface, the truth came out. This man had been walking through the forest with his horse, slipped, and fallen into the well. The horse couldn’t help him on its own, so it ran out to the road — straight to me.

If it hadn’t been for that horse, who knows how it all would have ended. And I still can’t believe that a random encounter on an empty road turned into a real miracle.
