In a nursing home, a brown horse suddenly appeared: the entire staff and residents were shocked, until they discovered why the animal was there 

It was just an ordinary day at the nursing home.

Everyone was busy with their own activities: some were reading the newspaper, others were watching TV, and a few were dozing in their chairs. Suddenly, the silence was broken by the anxious voice of a nurse:

— “Ma’am, you have a visitor!”

The elderly woman in her wheelchair looked up in surprise.

— “Who? I’m not expecting anyone… I don’t have visitors.”

— “I don’t know,” the nurse replied awkwardly, “but they said it was urgent.”

The woman slowly made her way to the visitors’ room. She could never have imagined what awaited her there. And then — a true shock. In the middle of the room stood a huge brown horse with a thick, magnificent mane.

The entire staff and other residents had gathered in the hallway, watching in amazement at the incredible scene. The horse stood calmly, as if it understood exactly why it was there.

The elderly woman rolled closer, reached out her trembling hand, and hugged the animal around its neck. Tears streamed down her cheeks. The horse did not resist; on the contrary, it lowered its head so the woman could stroke its muzzle.

— “What’s going on?” one of the residents finally asked. “What is a horse doing in a nursing home?”

The woman, still holding tightly onto the animal, softly revealed something that left everyone speechless  Continued in the first comment 

— “This isn’t just a horse… This is my friend. I raised him when he was still a foal. We spent twenty years together, not separated for a single day. But when I became ill and was moved here, he stayed with the neighbors. They cared for him, but…” — she sighed and smiled through her tears — “he missed me. So much that he stopped eating. And then my neighbor realized: he was pining for me.”

The room fell silent. No one could hold back their tears.

The woman held her beloved’s head in her hands for a long time, whispering words of gratitude and love. And it seemed the horse understood every word, responding with a small flick of its ears and a gentle breath.

A week after this meeting, the elderly woman passed away. But the most important thing was that she had the chance to say goodbye to the one she loved with all her heart. And her faithful friend finally found peace again, knowing he had seen his owner one last time.
