A young man was driving home after a business trip. He was in no hurry, fully aware that his ex-wife would start calling him nonstop to demand money. After the divorce, they had to continue living in the same apartment because she refused to proceed with a division. They had agreed to sell the property, but finding a buyer proved to be an almost impossible mission.

The sale of the property was mainly handled by his ex-wife since Kirill was constantly traveling abroad. Larissa claimed that no buyer showed any interest in the apartment, so time seemed to drag on very slowly.

Kirill only came home to spend the night. Thank God, he had a separate room. What his wife did and whom she brought home did not concern him. He was tired of thinking about others — it was time to think about himself.

During all their years of marriage, Larissa had never worked and lived solely at her husband’s expense. Even though he had bought the apartment, they still had to share everything equally. And now, no one could support Larissa’s needs, so the woman was ready to do anything.

She deliberately occupied the entire apartment space and used Kirill’s personal belongings. She could even move into his room when he was absent. He consoled himself by thinking that soon all this would end.

Larissa often invited friends over to push Kirill out. Soon, men also began to appear in the apartment. The woman seemed to want to hurt her ex-husband, but he no longer cared. However, he could not rest properly at home because of Larissa. It was easier for him to spend the night in the car than listen to their loud conversations under the influence of alcohol.

They decided to divorce because Kirill was tired of his wife’s lifestyle. She only parasitized his success and didn’t want to do anything. When Kirill’s money was no longer enough to satisfy all her demands, she filed for divorce. She had a long list of claims: luxury trips, designer clothes, jewelry, iPhones… The situation worsened when Kirill lost his bonuses, so their paths separated. Thank God, they didn’t have children.

Kirill was tired of endless trips, but he didn’t want to stay at home either. He felt useless there and didn’t know where to go. So, that day, he drove slowly, with no hurry to get home. Despite being very tired, it was easier for him to hold the wheel than to listen to Larissa’s reproaches and complaints.

Suddenly, by the roadside, Kirill spotted a young woman. Her car seemed broken down and was stopped in the middle of the road. He stopped to help.

— I don’t know what happened, it stopped and won’t start. And I’m late for an appointment, — said the young woman.

At that moment, she seemed as helpless as a child to Kirill. He invited her into his car and called a tow truck. He was even happy to be useful to someone, forgetting for a moment the upcoming meeting with his ex.

The tow truck took the woman’s car to the garage, and Kirill offered to drive the young stranger where she needed to go. The most surprising thing was that she knew Larissa’s address. He decided to ask her directly if she was going to Larissa’s. Sofia (that was her name) was obviously surprised that a simple driver knew Larissa. He had to briefly explain what connected him to this woman.

— You know Larissa? — Kirill asked Sofia.
— No, she just invited everyone she knows at the gym to the party.
— What do you mean, “everyone”?
— Yes, she said so, so that everyone would come.

Kirill was stunned. Such behavior was very typical of Larissa. She had carefully prepared for her ex-husband’s return from the trip.

— And is it true that she terrorizes you? That’s what she tells everyone. She invited everyone because she’s afraid of being alone with you, — Sofia explained.

— Don’t make me laugh… How about we go have a coffee together? — he proposed.

Sofia no longer wanted to go to Larissa’s; it seemed much more pleasant to spend time with this charming stranger. Kirill, for his part, could not refuse a conversation with a beautiful woman, especially since he noticed she liked him.

That day, they learned a lot about each other. According to Sofia, Kirill found out that Larissa was doing everything she could to drive her ex-husband out of the apartment. That was why she organized noisy parties and invaded his personal space: she wanted Kirill to give her the apartment and become the sole owner. However, Kirill clearly did not intend to play by her rules.

He now had his own life plans. Maybe soon they would live in that apartment, he and Sofia. God willing!
