Bao Xishun, a man reaching an astonishing height of 2.36 meters, spent most of his life alone, largely due to his exceptional condition.

Single until the age of 56, his fate took a dramatic turn when he met Xia Shujuan, a shopkeeper 28 years his junior and measuring just 1.68 meters.

Their marriage, marked by a striking height difference, was blessed with the birth of a perfectly healthy son.

Born into a family of average proportions—his father stood at 1.80 meters and his mother at 1.60 meters—nothing initially hinted at such a unique physical trait. However, during his teenage years, Bao experienced a growth spurt like no other.

By the age of 15, he was already 1.89 meters tall, and just a year later, he had grown even more, eventually reaching a record-breaking height of 2.36 meters, earning him the title of the world’s tallest man.
