An elderly woman mocked a young man because of his tattoos, but what happened next surprised her deeply.

The city bus followed its usual route. It was crowded with tired workers and students. Among the passengers, a young man stood out. He wore a white T-shirt that revealed several tattoos on his arms and chest.

He was immersed in his music, headphones in, and didn’t seem to notice what was going on around him. Beside him, an elderly woman was staring at him intensely, visibly irritated by his appearance.

After a while, she couldn’t hold back her thoughts and, in a voice loud enough for the whole bus to hear, she exclaimed, “Marking yourself like that! It’s a sin. How can the earth support people like you?”

All eyes turned to the young man, who, astonished, took off his headphones and asked politely: “Madam, is there a problem?”

The old lady continued contemptuously, “A problem? With those tattoos, you’ll never go to heaven. Look at you, all covered in the devil’s ink! God will punish you, and no respectable woman will want to marry you.”

The young man didn’t respond. He simply looked away to avoid the conflict. But that didn’t stop the woman, who continued to speak even louder.

The old lady, still criticizing the young man, had not noticed that a pickpocket had discreetly rummaged through her handbag.

Speaking contemptuously, she didn’t realize that her purse had just been stolen.

It was only when she saw the thief get off the bus at the next stop that she realized her money was missing.

Panicked, she cried out, “My money! It’s been stolen!”

But to his surprise, no one reacted except the tattooed young man.

He got up quickly and, without hesitation, set off in pursuit of the thief.
