A boy and a girl rented a small bunker in a remote forest for temporary accommodation. But when they went inside and saw what was there, both of them froze in place at the same time.
The boy and the girl were not just ordinary friends. They were childhood friends: they grew up in the same neighborhood and over time became almost like family to each other.
That day, both of their parents kicked them out of the house.
The boy’s story began a few weeks ago. He admitted that he wanted to become a musician and was planning to drop out of university. His father was a strict man and considered it “an unserious life.” The argument escalated so much that in the end, the father shouted:
— If you choose music, then go and live by music — there is no place for you in this house.
Hearing these words from his father, the boy left the house without a second’s hesitation.
In the girl’s case, the story was different. Her parents had long wanted her to marry the son of a wealthy businessman. But the girl refused this idea.
She wanted an independent life, not a fate decided by others for her. That evening, after yet another big argument, her mother shut the door behind her.
So it happened that on the same day, both of them were left without a home and ended up on the street.
Staying in the cold was almost impossible.
They started searching online for the cheapest accommodation. And that was when the boy found a strange advertisement:
“Bunker for rent — very cheap — in the forest.”
The price was so low that at first, they thought it was a mistake. But they called anyway. An elderly man answered and, without unnecessary questions, said that if they paid in cash, they could collect the key that same day.
They met him near an old gas station. The man seemed strangely rushed. He simply handed them a heavy metal key and said:
— When you go inside… you’ll understand everything.
He didn’t even ask for a contract. That was exactly what made the low price even stranger.
A few hours later, they reached the forest and found the place.
— I hope at least it will be warm inside, — said the girl.
Shivering from the cold, they hurried to the door to go in and warm up a little. But what they saw when they opened the door shocked them both at the same time.
You can read the continuation in the first comment.
Inside, it was surprisingly spacious and bright, despite being in the middle of the forest. Along the walls were old musical instruments: a piano, guitars, drums, and even an old violin that had almost no dust on it.
In the center of the room was a large wooden table, on which lay a thick notebook.
The boy and the girl looked around for a moment.
— This is… not a bunker, — whispered the girl.
— It looks more like… a studio, — replied the boy without taking his eyes off the instruments.
The boy slowly approached the piano. He carefully touched the keys with his fingertips. A few notes sounded — clear and lively, as if the instrument had been waiting for this exact moment.
Meanwhile, the girl took the notebook from the table and opened the first page.
Inside, there was only one sentence written:
“If you are reading this, it means you are among those who no longer have a home… but still have a dream.”
They looked at each other, took a deep breath for a moment, and finally understood: even if only temporary, they had found the home of their dreams.
