Have you ever noticed that ketchup is sold in transparent bottles in stores, but in restaurants, it is always in opaque red containers? 🤔 It turns out, this is not a coincidence 😲 A close friend of mine works at a fast food restaurant, and recently, he shared a very interesting secret with me 😱

I’m sharing this information with you, and pay more attention 🤔 Details in the link in the comments 👇 👇

My friend has been working as a waiter at a fast food restaurant for several years. Recently, over a cup of tea, he told me an interesting detail I had never thought about, but now it’s stuck in my head.

He asked me a simple question: “Have you ever noticed that ketchup is sold in transparent bottles in stores, but in restaurants, it’s always in opaque red containers?”

Indeed. In the supermarket, there are many brands with transparent packaging, and you can see how much ketchup is inside. But in restaurants, it’s always either a red plastic tube or a dispenser, which you can’t even peek into.

It turns out, this is not random. My friend explained that as soon as a customer sees that there’s only half or less ketchup left in the transparent bottle, the show begins.

“Yuck, bring a new one! It’s almost empty! This isn’t fresh ketchup!”

People often get disgusted, even if the ketchup is fresh, just because there’s less of it. Sometimes they even refuse to eat, ask for the bottle to be replaced, or complain at the register.

But if an opaque red container is used, no one can see how much ketchup is inside – and everything is fine.

Ketchup doesn’t get worse if half of the bottle is left. But, as it turns out, the perception of guests is completely different if they can’t see the content.

A little trick from the restaurant business that you might not have known.
