Who are the Johnstons?
The Johnston family is the world’s largest family in which every member has achondroplasia – the most common form of dwarfism. All seven members of the family are short-statured.
Family members (7 people):
– Trent Johnston – father, born in 1976. Height: about 135 cm
– Amber Johnston – mother, born in 1979. Height: about 127 cm
They have five children: two biological, three adopted:
– Jonah Johnston – eldest biological son, born in 1999
– Elizabeth Johnston – biological daughter, born in 2001
– Anna Johnston – adopted daughter from Russia
– Alex Johnston – adopted son from South Korea
– Emma Johnston – adopted daughter from China
All children are between 120 and 135 cm tall, since they all have achondroplasia.
Trent and Amber chose to adopt children with dwarfism from various countries, who were abandoned by their biological parents, to give them love, support, and a family that truly understands them.
There is also a reality TV show about this extraordinary family. “7 Little Johnstons” premiered in 2015 on TLC. The show features:
