The baby cried for three days in a row and barely slept: doctors assured the parents it was just normal colic and prescribed medication, but the crying did not stop 

Everything changed when the father accidentally noticed a strange detail on the child’s leg. Now he warns other parents to be more attentive and not to ignore such small things 

The couple had always lived carefully, planning everything in advance. When they learned they were expecting a baby, they immediately began preparing. They read books, attended courses, and bought everything according to checklists. In their apartment, they covered electrical outlets, protected sharp corners, and removed anything unnecessary. They believed this would protect their baby from any problems.

The baby was born calm. He slept well, cried rarely, and calmed down quickly. The first months passed without major difficulties. The parents adapted to the new routine and began to believe they had simply been lucky.

But one night, everything changed.

At first, the baby began to whimper softly. After a few hours, the crying grew louder and by nighttime turned into nonstop screaming. He could not be soothed in their arms or in the crib. His body tensed up, his face turned red, and his breathing became irregular.

The father carried the baby around the room, trying to rock him to sleep. The mother checked everything she could think of. The baby was fed, his diaper was changed, and he was wrapped more warmly. The apartment was warm, but the crying continued.

Later that evening, the parents went to an emergency clinic. The doctors examined the baby, checked his vital signs, and said it was ordinary colic, common in infants. They recommended massage and drops and sent the family home.

The parents trusted the doctors.

Over the next two days, the baby barely slept. The crying did not stop day or night. The parents took turns holding him and walking around the apartment, but nothing helped. Exhaustion built up, and anxiety grew.

On the third night, the father sent his wife to rest and stayed alone with the baby. He secured the baby carrier to his chest and slowly walked from room to room, trying not to stop. Over time, the screaming softened and turned into heavy breathing.

When the baby calmed down a little, the father sat down and looked at him carefully. He noticed that one of his son’s legs moved normally, while the other barely moved and was kept bent. That seemed strange.

One foot was normal. The other was swollen, hot, and dark red. Between the toes was a very thin thread, almost invisible. It was a long hair. Judging by the color, it was the mother’s hair.

It had wrapped tightly around the baby’s toes, cutting off circulation to the foot. Blood flow had been restricted by the thin hair, and the skin had begun to heal over it.

The father woke his wife, and they immediately went to the hospital. In the emergency room, they showed the baby’s leg to the doctors. The reaction was immediate.

It was not colic.

The baby was rushed into surgery. Doctors said that if they had waited any longer, the consequences could have been irreversible.

The parents made it in time. For an adult, a single thin hair would never cause such a serious problem, but for a baby, whose skin is still extremely delicate, it almost became the cause of an amputation.
