Our prayers go out to the great singer Reba McEntire and her family

Reba McEntire rose to fame in the late ’70s and became a beloved icon. She’s faced deep personal loss—her mother Jacqueline died of cancer in 2022, a major blow to Reba, as they were very close. Her mom once dreamed of being a singer and passed that passion on to Reba.

Tragedy struck earlier in 1991 when seven members of Reba’s band, including her manager, died in a plane crash. Reba narrowly avoided the flight. She still honors their memory, recalling the heartbreaking moment with Oprah, tears streaming. Despite it all, Reba continues to inspire with strength and grace.
