My husband and mother-in-law left me in the hotel lobby: I was really fed up with their tasteless jokes, and this is what I did.
I had booked a fancy hotel for our family vacation. While my husband and mother-in-law parked the car, I walked into the hotel lobby.
I waited for them for half an hour, but they didn’t arrive, and when I called my husband, he didn’t pick up. At that moment, one of the hotel employees approached me and asked: “Madam, are you all right?”
When I introduced myself and explained that I was waiting for my husband and mother-in-law, the employee replied: “Your husband and his mother are already in their rooms.”
I understood that they had gone up to their rooms without me noticing them. It was a joke on their part, but I didn’t like it at all.
Honestly, I was fed up with their tasteless jokes and decided to teach them a lesson. This is what I did.
The rest of my story is in the article in the first comment .
That evening, I had reached my limit.
I went to the reception and cancelled all their reservations, as everything was in my name.
Then I took a standard room for myself.
Their key cards no longer worked and the employee confirmed that I was the one who canceled everything.
My husband tried to stop me, but with the help of security, I went up to my room leaving them in the hall.
This time, I decided to never accept being treated that way again.
