đ˛đ˛My daughter forbade me from even touching the food in their fridge, even though I spent all day caring for her child: thatâs when I decided to teach her a real lesson she would never forget.
đľWhen my daughter had a son, I was overjoyed. But that joy quickly turned into worry: she had a demanding job that required her constant presence, and she couldnât take a proper maternity leave.
I couldnât leave the baby without care â I gladly agreed to help. Every day at eight in the morning, I would come to her house and stay with the baby until evening.
I bathed him, fed him, rocked him to sleep, did the laundry, the ironing board became my best friend, and daily walks â a ritual.
Everything went on as usual until one day everything changed.
That day, tired after a long walk, I decided to have a snack. I opened the fridge, took some cheese and an apple. But then I heard something unexpected from my daughter:
â Donât you dare take food from the fridge. All of that was bought with our money.
I was stunned.
â But Iâm here all day, every day⌠Am I supposed to starve?
â Buy your own food and bring it with you. Weâre not a cafeteria, â she replied coldly and went to her room.
At that moment I realized that my daughter had grown up selfish and didnât appreciate my help at all. So I decided to teach her a real lesson she would never forget. I hope I did the right thingâŚ
I described my thoughts and feelings in the article below the photo â Iâd be grateful for your opinions đđ
It was then, holding the apple in my hand, that I suddenly realized clearly: I had raised someone so full of indifference and selfishness. Where did I go wrong?
I gave her all my strength, all my feelings, I was always by her side, supported her, helped her â and in return, I received coldness and a total lack of gratitude.
The next day, I didnât go. At eight in the morning, I called her myself:
â Darling, youâll have to find someone else to look after the baby. Iâm not coming anymore. Iâm too old to feel like a stranger in a house where warmth and love once lived.
She was stunned. She screamed, tried to blame me â but I had decided that I would no longer allow myself to be treated as a convenient solution.
I still love my grandson with all my heart. But I will no longer allow myself to be treated like a maid.
Iâm a mother. Iâm a grandmother. And I deserve respect
