“Lie down next to me,” the husband said when his wife caught him with his mistress in their own bed — but what the wife did next shocked everyone 

When the wife left to visit her mother for a few hours, the husband immediately realized it was the perfect opportunity to invite his mistress over, so he wouldn’t have to drive across the entire city to her apartment. He figured his wife wouldn’t be back anytime soon, giving them several quiet hours together.

They enjoyed their time so much that they didn’t even notice how late it had gotten, and when the front door suddenly opened, they were still lying on the bed as if nothing had happened.

The husband didn’t flinch when he heard his wife’s voice, as if he didn’t care who walked in. The mistress, however, jumped up and tried to pull on her jeans, but the man smirked and said, “Lie down — what can she do to us? I’ll handle it.”

When the wife entered the bedroom and saw them in her bed, she simply asked:

— What’s going on here?

The husband grinned at her and said:

— What’s the problem, darling? We have company. Join us. It’ll be more fun together.

The wife stepped closer and unexpectedly placed a neat folder on the bed in front of the mistress.

— Do you know what’s in here? — she asked quietly.

The mistress shook her head in confusion.

The wife opened the folder, and the mistress saw printed copies of her own messages: revealing photos, texts, confessions — everything she had sent to the man. But next to them were other conversations where she wrote the exact same phrases to her own husband, promising him that “it’s over with that man,” “it’s just friendship,” “I love you more than life.”

At that moment, the mistress turned pale as if she stopped breathing.

The wife said calmly, “These materials have already been sent to your husband. And to a small group of your mutual friends. By the way, he has already read them.”

The mistress’s hands began to shake, she collapsed to the floor, and covered her face, fully aware that her marriage was destroyed.

The husband tried to jump up from the bed, but the wife turned to him and, without raising her voice, said, “Your turn.” She took out a second envelope and tossed it onto his lap.

Inside were documents proving that he had used his work computer and work email to communicate with the mistress, had sent her confidential work files, had used fake business meetings as an excuse to go on dates, and had even skipped important meetings — something his boss had suspected for a long time.

— These documents are already on your director’s desk, — the wife said. — Tomorrow morning you’ll be called in. You’re welcome.

The husband turned pale, tried to say something, but the wife didn’t listen. She calmly picked up her bag and left.

The mistress sobbed, and the husband held his head in his hands, realizing he had lost his job, his wife, and the life he once knew.
