Kentucky Church Shooting Claims Lives of Two Women — What We Know

A routine traffic stop near Blue Grass Airport on July 13 turned deadly when a suspect shot a Kentucky state trooper and fled.

He carjacked a vehicle and drove to Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington

, where he opened fire.

The rampage left two women dead and several others injured.

The suspect was killed by police on the scene.

The victims were identified as Christina Combs, 34, and Beverly Gumm, 72.

Two men were wounded—one critically—and the injured trooper is stable.

Police say the shooter may have had personal ties to someone at the church.

His identity has not been publicly released.
