I stepped into a crowded elevator, and on the screen a warning appeared: “Overweight.” The other passengers forced me out, calling me fat, but suddenly I did something completely unexpected 😲😲

This morning something very unpleasant happened to me.

I had to go up to the 15th floor of my office, where the elevator was old. Of course, walking fifteen floors on foot would have been a real challenge for me. Honestly, I’m a plus-sized girl, and as often happens, sometimes it’s hard for me to move around.

I entered the elevator: inside there were already two men, a mother with her child, and a woman around fifty. The doors almost closed, but the elevator didn’t move. On the screen, the warning appeared: “Overweight. One passenger must exit.”

Everyone immediately turned toward me. Nobody said anything outright, but their looks said it all: “You’re fat — get out.”

— “Madam, could you step out? We’re in a hurry,” said the older woman.

— “I’m not a madam, I’m only nineteen,” I replied.

— “Oh God, at that age to let yourself go like that… Girl, step out, it’s because of you there’s overweight.”

— “I’m in a hurry, I can’t get out,” I answered calmly.

Then the men joined in:

— “Can’t you see we’re waiting? Get out already!”

— “Take the stairs, it’ll be healthier for you.”

My patience snapped. And then I did something I never expected of myself. 😢😲
I’m telling my story in the first comment – and you, have you ever faced something like this? 👇👇

I sighed and pressed the “open doors” button.

— “Fine, I’ll get out,” I said, stepping aside.

But to everyone’s surprise, the elevator still didn’t move. I looked at them and started laughing:

— “Oh, I see, there must be other fat ones among you. So, who’s going to get out now? Maybe you, grandma?”

— “I’m not a grandma, I’m only forty-five,” the woman snapped.

— “I wouldn’t say so. You look older. Come on, step out already, with your extra weight you’re holding everyone up.”

The woman huffed and left the elevator. But again — nothing. The doors closed, and the elevator didn’t move.

By then I was laughing out loud, unable to stop. One by one, they started to step out, thinking that was the cause. But the elevator still didn’t work.

And only later it turned out that it wasn’t me at all. The old elevator had been malfunctioning for a long time, and this time it simply refused to move.

And I stood in the hallway laughing so hard that their ears must have been ringing.
