I was visiting a friend and noticed this strange thing in the yard  I was surprised and decided to ask my friend what it was 

It turns out that my friend did something with an old window that others would probably have just thrown away….

Recently, I visited a close friend. We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so I happily accepted his invitation for a cup of tea. While we were sitting on the veranda, I noticed something strange in the yard – an object that looked like a table, but clearly not a regular table.

What caught my attention was a detail: on its surface was… an old window. A real window pane in a wooden frame, carefully mounted on legs. I couldn’t resist and asked my friend:

— Hey, what’s this weird table?

He smiled and, as if he had been waiting for that question, answered enthusiastically:

— This is my design experiment! Imagine, I couldn’t throw away the old windows after the renovation. They seemed so “fresh” to me, so I decided to give them a second life. I just added legs — and the table was ready.

Indeed, the idea was brilliantly simple. Of course, you can’t host a fancy dinner on such a glass table – but it’s perfect for family tea, morning coffee, or an evening glass of wine under the stars.

And if you want something more durable, my friend suggested replacing the glass with something unbreakable, using the frame as a stylish base.

This table would have an extra charm if you placed flowers directly under the glass surface.
