I noticed that strange things were happening in my apartment at night, but at the police station they called me crazy and wouldn’t even listen to me 😢

So I installed a hidden camera in my room, and in the morning, after reviewing the footage, I was horrified by what was actually happening in my home at night 😱😨

I have always been a terrible perfectionist. Any kind of mess irritates me. If a glass isn’t exactly in the center of the table, I move it. The books on the shelf must be arranged in a specific order. Towels folded neatly, shoes by the door strictly paired. I notice details that others don’t even see.

But this story isn’t about my personality.

It’s about how that very habit saved my life.

It all started about two months ago. At first, it was small things. So small that any normal person wouldn’t have paid attention.

One evening, I placed a glass of water on my nightstand and clearly remembered that I hadn’t drunk from it before going to sleep. In the morning, I walked over and saw water droplets on the inside of the glass. It was damp inside, as if someone had drunk from it. I stood there trying to remember if I could have done it during the night, but I don’t sleepwalk and I never wake up to drink water. I decided I must have been tired and mistaken.

A few days later, I came home and noticed dirty footprints on the doormat. I live alone, it had been dry outside that day, and I clearly remembered wiping my shoes. I stared at the mat for a long time, then convinced myself it must have been from the previous day and I simply hadn’t noticed.

Then a piece of bread disappeared from the pantry. I always cut evenly and know exactly how much is left. This time, the edge was uneven, as if someone had torn it off by hand. That evening, I couldn’t sit calmly in the kitchen anymore.

I started taking photos of the room before going to bed, just to make sure I wasn’t imagining things.

I called all my friends and relatives who could theoretically have a key to my apartment. No one knew anything. I changed the lock. I felt a little calmer, but the strange incidents didn’t stop.

At the police station, they looked at me like I was insane. They said I was too impressionable, that it was just stress and imagination. One of the officers even suggested I watch fewer ghost movies and take a sedative. I left feeling like no one was actually listening to me.

But I knew something was happening.

When the book I had left on the table at night magically appeared on the couch in the morning, I realized I couldn’t wait any longer. If no one believed me, I had to prove it myself.

I installed hidden cameras in the bedroom and the kitchen. I went to bed with my heart pounding and, for the first time in my life, I was afraid to close my eyes.

In the morning, I turned on the recordings and was horrified to see what was happening in my home at night 😨😱 I shared the continuation of my story in the first comment 👇👇

At first, nothing. An empty kitchen. A quiet bedroom. Then, around one in the morning, I saw a man slowly descending from the ceiling hatch that led to the old attic. Thin, slightly balding, dressed in dark clothes.

He walked through the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, drank from my glass, ate the bread. He moved a plate, touched a towel. Then he went into the bedroom.

And I will never forget this.

He stood beside my bed and watched me sleep for a long time. Almost an hour. He just stood there observing. Sometimes he leaned closer, as if checking whether I was breathing. At one point, he even ran his hand over the blanket, very close to my hand.

As I watched the footage, I was shaking.

The police came immediately when I brought them the video. It turned out that a young man had been living in the old attic above my apartment. He had entered illegally and was hiding there.

He had previously been involved in a case concerning a missing girl, but he was declared mentally unfit and placed in a psychiatric clinic. Somehow, he ended up free again.

He was arrested. But he never explained why he did it.

After that, I couldn’t stay in that apartment anymore. I had to move in with my parents. To this day, I wake up at the slightest noise and check the doors several times.
