I bought toilet paper, and inside were these little green balls – does anyone know what they are?

A few days ago, I bought some rolls of toilet paper and placed them under the sink 🫣. Today, while cleaning the bathroom, I decided to replace the old roll. I grabbed a new one, started to unroll it — and suddenly… these tiny green balls spilled out from the center 😱😱

I was terrified and had no idea where they came from. I thought maybe insect eggs, some kind of toxic chemical, or that someone had put them there on purpose. But the truth turned out to be something completely different 🫣 I explain everything in the first comment 👇👇

I often read stories about strange discoveries — someone finds money in an old wardrobe, someone else uncovers a hidden compartment behind a wall… But I never imagined that one day I’d be the main character in such a story myself.

Recently, I went to my usual supermarket — the one where I’ve been shopping for years. Everything was as usual: bread, milk, fruit, and — yes — a few rolls of toilet paper. What could be more ordinary?

A couple of days later, while cleaning the bathroom, I went to replace the roll under the sink. I reached for it automatically, started unrolling it — and suddenly… little green balls fell out.

I froze. What was this? Where did they come from? The worst thoughts crossed my mind. Insects? Poison? Some kind of prank? The panic grew with every passing second.

I immediately called a friend who works in pest control and told her everything. She calmed me down but still advised me to show the find to a specialist.

Later, I was told that those green balls weren’t dangerous at all. They’re old deodorizing pellets that were once commonly placed inside plastic toilet paper holders.

When you put the roll into a special container, the pellets would release a light scent. Most likely, an old batch was left in storage and accidentally got sold.

I breathed a sigh of relief. Of course, now I’m a bit more cautious — even with the most ordinary things. And — I admit — I always check toilet paper rolls before using them now.

A strange story I won’t forget anytime soon.
