The last time I was at the doctor’s office, he looked at the ultrasound, then, in a low voice, told me that I should go home and stay away from my husband. He even advised me to get a divorce.

During my last prenatal exam, the doctor displayed behavior that deeply unsettled me. I went to the consultation thinking everything was fine, expecting just a routine check-up before the baby’s birth. But, when he saw the ultrasound, his attitude unexpectedly changed.

My usually calm doctor seemed strangely nervous. I even noticed his hands shaking slightly.

When he looked at the ultrasound, a clear sense of worry appeared on his face. I asked if everything was okay, and he answered in a low, almost hesitant voice: “Go home, stay away from your husband.” Then, he suggested I live with my sister and think about getting a divorce.

I was completely in shock. I had never seen my doctor so disturbed, and his words left me speechless. It felt like the ground had disappeared beneath me.
