Demi Moore Responds to Emma Heming’s Decision About Bruce Willis’ New Living Arrangement

Demi Moore recently spoke warmly about Emma Heming Willis, praising her dedication and compassion as a caregiver for Bruce Willis, following public discussions surrounding a major family decision.Emma Heming Willis made one of the most difficult choices of her caregiving journey when she decided to move her husband, Bruce Willis, to a specialized second home designed to support his dementia care needs.

This step was taken after Bruce’s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia in 2022, which brought significant changes to the family’s everyday life.In an emotional interview with Diane Sawyer, aired on August 26, 2025, during the ABC special “Emma and Bruce Willis – The Unexpected Journey,” Emma shared how challenging the decision was for her.

It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make so far,” she said, reflecting on the experience. The new arrangement was made to ensure Bruce received the highest level of professional care while also allowing their two young daughters to grow up in a home environment focused on their needs.
“I knew, first and foremost, Bruce would want that for our daughters,” Emma explained. “He would want them to be in a home tailored to their needs, not his care requirements.”

Emma lovingly refers to the facility as Bruce’s “second home,” describing it as a warm, supportive environment filled with love, laughter, and round-the-clock professional care. While they now live apart, she emphasized the deep connection they maintain through frequent visits and shared family time.
