I was full of joy driving to the hospital to bring Suzie and our newborn twins home. I had spent days getting the nursery ready, making a special dinner, and even picked up balloons. But when I got there, Suzie was gone. Only our daughters were there—alongside a handwritten note: “Goodbye. Take care of them.
