BREAKING: The Kennedy Center renaming was NOT unanimous. Rep Joyce Beatty: “I was muted on the call and not allowed to speak or voice my opposition. Also for the record, this was not on the agenda. This was not consensus. This is censorship.” 
I pray that in the long run we will emerge from this crisis. From our creation with the Revolutionary War, through the Civil War, two World Wars, the Civil Rights movement, and the Vietnam era Anti War movement this country has not only survived but has flourished because we are a people that are inherently good and desire freedom, justice and democracy. In times of national distress we have ultimately come together and fought for the greater good of all.
The song of the single bird greeting the new day may be faint. But it is soon joined by the chorus of the flock in beautiful harmony to drown out the darkness and welcome the sunshine and promise of what is to come.
