Javier Botet is a Spanish actor known for his creepy roles as monsters and ghosts in horror films.
His unusual appearance is not the result of makeup or computer graphics, but the result of a rare genetic condition – Marfan syndrome.
Because of this, Javier is very tall (about two meters), extraordinarily thin, with long limbs and long fingers. But instead of seeing this as a disadvantage, he turned this feature into an advantage.
Since childhood, Javier has been passionate about cinema, especially the horror genre. His dream of becoming an actor seemed unlikely, given his appearance and physical characteristics.
However, not only did he achieve his goal, but he became a true legend in the horror genre.
His movements, facial expressions, and ability to literally “embody” terrifying characters made him irreplaceable in films like [REC], Mama, It, Conjuring 2, and many others.
Javier says that his appearance not only doesn’t hinder him, but actually helps him create frightening but memorable characters.
Very little is known about his personal life – Javier doesn’t like to share private details. However, on his social media pages, there are photos of him with two young children.
It seems that these are his sons. Interestingly, the children apparently didn’t inherit his genetic traits.
