— ”Roma, we have twins!” — Tanya exclaimed joyfully and emotionally over the phone.
— ”They’re so tiny, only 2.5 kg each, but perfectly healthy, can you believe it? Everything is fine!”
— ”They did mention twins during the ultrasound…” — Roman mumbled, as if it wasn’t really news to him. — ”Boys?”

— ”Yes, boys! They’re so adorable!” — Tanya couldn’t hold back her tears of joy. She was finally holding her children in her arms.
— ”Roma, come see our sons,” — she asked gently.
— ”We’ll see…” — he grumbled before hanging up.
After being discharged, Tanya moved into her in-laws’ house. Kirill and Yefim were restless and needed attention. Her mother-in-law helped, but her husband… kept his distance.
One day, Tanya accidentally overheard Roman talking to his mother.

— ”I don’t care about them,” — he said indifferently. — ”Tanya wanted those kids; let her live with them now.”
She packed her bags.
— ”Stay,” — Roman suddenly said. — ”I’ll go.”
He left to join his mistress, Lida. But he soon realized his mistake.
Lida didn’t take care of him, spent his money, and constantly demanded more. He thought about Tanya more and more.
For the first time in a long while, he returned to his parents’ house. When he saw her again — changed, more beautiful, more confident — something stirred in him.
— ”You’ve changed,” — he murmured.
— ”Thank you,” — Tanya replied, looking him straight in the eyes.

Roman began coming more often. Now he spent time with the children every week. Lida got angry, but he didn’t care.
— ”Maybe we should get divorced?” — Tanya suggested one day.
— ”Let’s not rush…” — he replied, much to her surprise.
That night, he didn’t return to Lida.
Shortly after, he packed his things and came home.
— ”I knew you’d come back,” — Tanya whispered, hugging him.
— ”I’ll never leave again,” — he said.
Holding her husband’s hand, Tanya knew that love had triumphed.
