After my husband’s betrayal, I left him and flew to another country, while he married the woman he had been cheating on me with. But at their wedding, my ex-husband and his new wife received a special gift from me
At midnight, there were more than thirty missed calls from him on my phone…
We lived together for twelve years. An ordinary marriage, without loud scandals or beautiful love stories. I never thought everything would end so simply.
One evening, I picked up my husband’s phone. Not because I suspected anything in particular, but just to check the time. The screen was unlocked, and a conversation immediately caught my eye. There were no ambiguities. The messages were direct and clear. There was no point in reading further, because everything was already obvious. He had another woman.
I didn’t make a scene. Silently, I packed his things, put them into a suitcase, and placed it by the front door. When he came out of the room, I told him that I would handle the divorce myself and that I had no intention of continuing to live like this. He tried to explain himself, said it meant nothing, but the conversation was already pointless.
The divorce went quickly, without emotions and without any attempts to fix things. He went to live with the woman he had been messaging. I stayed alone and, for the first time in a long while, realized that I needed to change my life.
A few months later, I moved to the country of my dreams. Not because of him, but because I wanted to start over. In the new city, everything felt unfamiliar and difficult, but over time I found a job and made new acquaintances.
I hardly thought about my ex-husband anymore. I only knew that he was preparing for his wedding to the woman he had cheated on me with. The wedding was supposed to be lavish, with many guests. But how could I not congratulate him… On their wedding day, they received a “gift” from me.
At midnight, my phone vibrated, pulling me out of sleep. On the screen were thirty missed calls from my ex-husband… Apparently, he really “liked” the gift How I congratulated my traitorous ex-husband, I explained in the first comment
I had asked in advance a friend who was invited to the wedding to hand the envelope directly to the bride. Not verbally, not through someone else, but straight into her hands. To say that it was a gift and that it would be better to open it immediately.
On the wedding day, she was given a bouquet of roses and an envelope. Everything looked beautiful and perfectly appropriate. No one suspected anything. Inside the envelope were photos of my ex-husband with other women.
There were also printed copies of conversations: dates, names, confessions, and arrangements for meetings.
The new wife didn’t know that there had been other women. She was convinced that the story of infidelity had ended with me. But I knew everything.
About the women before her, and about those who appeared afterward. I didn’t make anything up or embellish anything. I simply gathered the facts in one place.
Later, I was told what happened at the wedding. The envelope was opened right before the ceremony. At first, the bride stayed silent. Then she started asking questions. Then she raised her voice.
The scandal was so terrible that the guests didn’t understand what was happening. In the end, she turned around and walked away. Right at the altar.
At midnight, my phone vibrated again. My ex-husband kept calling over and over. When I looked at the screen, there were more than thirty missed calls. He demanded explanations, shouted, and accused me of ruining his life.
I didn’t call back. Because he simply got what he had deserved for a long time.
