A young girl married a wealthy 60-year-old sheikh, but she could never have imagined that something terrible would happen on their wedding night. 

The nineteen-year-old girl had grown up in a poor family, where every day was a struggle for survival. She was a student and dreamed of only one thing — one day escaping poverty and starting to live “like normal people.”

Fate gave her an unexpected encounter: at a reception, she accidentally caught the attention of a rich sheikh, already past sixty. He was captivated by her youth and beauty, while for her this meeting was a chance to change her life.

The sheikh didn’t hesitate for long — he proposed to her, and the girl, dazzled by his wealth, agreed. She knew very well that she felt no love for the old man, but she was drawn by the possibility of securing her future and forgetting about hunger and debts. When the wedding ended and the guests began to leave, the bride and groom went to their chambers. Exhausted by her heavy dress, the girl went into the bathroom to change.

Her mind was full of thoughts about how her life had changed in just a few weeks. But when she returned to the bedroom, she saw a sight that would remain with her forever: the sheikh was lying on the floor, motionless and pale.

She screamed so loudly that servants and guards immediately rushed into the room. Chaos followed, doctors were called, but their conclusion was short and merciless — his heart had failed. The wealthy sheikh had died on his wedding night.

Thus, in just a few hours, the girl’s life changed twice: from a poor student she first became the wife of one of the richest men, and then — his heiress.
