The child ran out into the street and asked the police for help. As soon as they arrived, they uncovered the truth, which astonished them.

The seven-year-old girl ran down the street, her small body trembling with fear. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

She barely noticed the passing cars or the first rays of sunlight, but her only concern was to reach the police as quickly as possible and ask for help.

She wasn’t even paying attention to what was happening on the street.

She didn’t notice the speed of the cars racing past her.

She ran from one end of the street to the other, and in her mind, there was only one thought — to find the police as soon as possible.

After running a few blocks, she saw the officers in the distance, going about their duties as usual.

A sergeant noticed the lone, crying child from afar and walked toward her.

When he reached her, the child hugged the officer and, sniffling, asked for help:

— What happened, dear? Why are you crying?
— Please help me! If we wait any longer, it will only get worse.

The officer quickly placed the child in the car, and they drove off. The girl guided them to the house where a real ordeal awaited. 

Upon arriving at the building, the officer stopped the car in the courtyard, hugged the child, and they began to climb the stairs.

The girl’s heart was so full of pain that she couldn’t express everything she was feeling until they reached the apartment. When they arrived at the apartment door, it was slightly open.

The officer pushed it open and entered with the child. What he saw inside shocked him completely.

When they approached the room, they saw a man — Sophie’s former father, who had returned for the first time in several years after leaving the family.

Seeing this, the child ran out of the house and sought help from the police.

The police immediately detained the man, who was intoxicated and unaware of his actions.

One of the neighbors also gave a statement confirming what the child had told the police — that the man had indeed struck the woman. The neighbor had witnessed the incident but did not intervene out of fear for her own safety.

The officer called for backup to take control of the entire apartment.

The man was arrested and taken to the station for committing acts of violence.
