Dennis Avner was born in the U.S. and grew up in the small town of Suttons Bay.
After graduating from school, he became interested in tattoos and body modifications. It was then that he realized his totem animal was a tiger, and he decided to transform his appearance to align with his inner sense of self.
Avner dedicated more than 25 years to turning himself into a tiger.
He underwent numerous surgeries: pointed his ears, changed the shape of his nose and eyebrows with implants, injected silicone into his cheekbones, stretched his lips to resemble a cat’s mouth, and even replaced his teeth with special prosthetics resembling tiger fangs.
He also got 18 piercings on his face and six metal anchors on his forehead, to which he could attach artificial whiskers.
In 2005, Avner entered the Guinness World Records for having undergone the most surgeries to transform into an animal.
However, fame did not bring him wealth. He made a living through public appearances, helping elderly people, and doing home repairs.
By 2012, Dennis Avner’s life had become more difficult. His financial problems became more pressing, and loneliness and societal pressure intensified.
In November of the same year, he was found dead in his garage. It was later revealed that he had taken his own life at the age of 54.
