A 5-year-old boy complained of severe ear pain and insisted that something was inside: the doctor examined him — and screamed in horror 

That morning, the house was filled with screams — the usually calm and cheerful boy shouted so loudly that his terrified parents ran into his room. He was sitting on the bed, clutching his head in his hands, crying, and pressing his palm against his ear.

— “Mom, there’s someone in there!” he sobbed. “In my ear — it’s moving!”

His mother tried to calm him down, thinking he might be imagining things. But the boy kept crying, insisting that something was crawling inside his ear. His father, pale with fear, didn’t hesitate — he put the boy in the car and sped to the nearest hospital.

In the emergency room, the doctor tried to stay calm at first. X-rays were taken — nothing unusual. The doctor even suggested that the boy might be pretending to avoid going to kindergarten. But the child, trembling with fear, pleaded:

— “Please, doctor, take it out. It’s moving…”

The woman took a small flashlight, gently tilted the boy’s head, and looked into his ear. Her face instantly turned pale. She stepped back and screamed — out of shock and horror.  Continued in the first comment 

Deep inside the ear canal, something was moving. Tiny white larvae were wriggling, clinging to the walls of the skin.

The parents froze in disbelief, unable to comprehend what they were seeing. An ENT specialist was immediately called. Using a microscope, he carefully removed several larvae and flushed the ear with a special solution.

It turned out that the boy had fallen asleep on the porch during the summer, and during the night, a fly had been buzzing around him. The insect had laid eggs directly inside the ear canal, where it was warm and humid — perfect conditions for hatching.

After the procedure, the boy recovered quickly, but his mother remained deeply shaken — haunted by the thought that she hadn’t believed her son at first.

Since then, whenever he complains about something, she never argues or dismisses it again. Because now she knows: even the most unbelievable things can be true.
