Vice President JD Vance’s close friend Charlie Kirk made arrangements for the right-wing influencer’s coffin to be flown to Arizona on Air Force Two.

A poignant moment occurred when the plane touched down: Usha Vance took Erika Kirk’s hand and made a silent, sincere attempt to console her.

But what devastated people all around the country was what Erika held in her own hand.

Arrived in his home state of Arizona

Vice President JD Vance wrote an emotional post on X on Thursday, reminiscing about his close friendship with Charlie Kirk, the conservative political activist who was tragically shot and died on Wednesday while giving an event at Utah Valley University.

Reflecting on his strong connection with Kirk, the vice president described him as a kind, kind, and devoted man who enjoyed arguing and assisting people in their endeavors.

From early Senate discussions to putting him in touch with important allies and planning influential events, Kirk provided Vance with both personal and political assistance, Vance recounted. He commended Kirk’s commitment to his family, his strong Christian beliefs, and his capacity to motivate friends and coworkers to take action and trust in him.

Additionally, Vance recalled Kirk as a genuine friend whose generosity, wisdom, and enthusiasm had a profound effect on his life, his family, and the nation.

Air Force Two honored the conservative activist with a mournful, farewell journey Thursday when the casket of Charlie Kirk landed in his home state of Arizona.

Second Lady Usha Vance and Kirk’s widow, Erika, were spotted getting off the jet when it landed in Phoenix. Wearing sunglasses and black clothing, the two women joined hands in a silent, sincere gesture, their features solemn.

In a dark suit, Vice President JD Vance trailed a few paces behind.

Kept her gaze down

Usha comforted Erika, 36, at the painful period by gently guiding her down the stairs while she maintained her face downward. Kirk’s journey back to his home state came to an end as the two women walked hand in hand gently to the tarmac.

Kirk’s parents and two small children were also on board, and they saw the catastrophe that claimed his life. To emphasize the seriousness of the situation, National Guard members carried Kirk’s mahogany coffin on and off the aircraft.

As she escorted her husband’s body to Phoenix’s Hansen Mortuary Chapel, Charlie Kirk’s widow also waved to supporters from the backseat of an SUV while clutching a rosary.

Many people were moved by seeing Erika hold the rosary and silently wave to supporters; it became a potent symbol of both strength and grief.

That small act demonstrated how she relied on her faith to get through the suffering and conveyed to everyone in attendance that hope and fortitude can get you through even the most trying situations.

”A prayer warrior”

Turning Point USA contributor Jack Posobiec hailed Erika’s steadfast devotion to her faith and called her “unbelievably strong.”

“Erika is a prayer warrior, her and Charlie are very devout believers, they are very very deeply Christian,” he said.

“When you see the cameras turn off, the lights go down, they immediately go back to faith — this is something they live 24/7.”

Posobiec went on to say Erika’s faith is a way of life and not merely a performance.

“It is not something that only exists in front of the camera, that is something that they absolutely walk every single day. Because they have that firm reliance in faith, [Erika] has that ability to be able to go through this with that kind of strength that really only comes from heaven.”

Erika married conservative activist Charlie Kirk in 2021 after winning the title of Miss Arizona in 2012. Together, the couple had two young children.

President Trump informed reporters on Thursday that he had a lengthy conversation with Frantzve after Kirk was tragically killed by a lone shooter who is still at large.

“I spoke to Erika, his wife. We had a long conversation,” Trump said. “She’s completely devastated, as anyone would be.”

President Donald Trump is anticipated to attend the funeral, which is scheduled for next week, in honor of the conservative voice whose life was sadly cut short.

The resident declared that he will posthumously present Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, calling it his “obligation.”
