Sergeant Alex dedicated over 15 years to police service. He was known as one of the most loyal and fearless officers, a man who always led from the front — even in the most dangerous operations. His loyal partner was his service dog, Bars. They had been through a lot: arrests, chases, night raids.

Everything was coming to an end when suddenly the doors to the hall opened and Major General Victor entered — tall, confident, strict. He was the one who had personally assigned Alex the mission that turned into tragedy.

But the moment Bars saw the general, everything changed.

It was as if something clicked inside the dog. He leapt up, barked loudly, rushed forward, stood in defense of Alex, then suddenly jumped — growling with rage.

The officers in the hall jumped up. Some tried to hold the dog back, others stepped back in panic. They had never seen such an attack — especially on a high-ranking general. The atmosphere in the room became tense.

“Remove that dog!” shouted the general, turning pale. “He will be punished for attacking a superior officer!”

But Bars did not back down. He growled, tense to the limit, as if trying to say something with his whole body.
