A man threw a party to humiliate his girlfriend in front of everyone. However, what happened afterward truly shocked everyone.

That day was supposed to be an engagement party. Everyone was sure that the man who organized this celebration would soon get down on one knee and propose to his beautiful girlfriend — at least, that was the pretext he used to host the evening.

The young woman sat at the table in a sparkling red dress, and she didn’t think of anything else. She had no idea that this evening would become the most unexpected turning point in her life.

A few days earlier, the man had accidentally uncovered a secret.

One day, without warning his girlfriend, he decided to visit her home to surprise her. But when he saw that the door was slightly open, he went inside and accidentally overheard a terrible phone conversation.

— Don’t worry, — the girl said calmly on the phone. — He is so rich that I can hold on for a few more months. We will get married, then everything will be in my name… And then I’ll calmly get a divorce, take half the assets, and marry you.

Hearing these words hit the man like a ton of bricks. He didn’t sleep all night. But he didn’t tell his girlfriend what he had heard. Instead, he decided to reveal everything in front of everyone and humiliate her.

Now he stood at the table with a glass of wine in his hand, and all his friends, colleagues, and their families had gathered in the restaurant. Everyone thought he was about to make a toast to his future fiancée.

— I organized this evening to celebrate the most important decision of my life.

The guests smiled. Some were already preparing to applaud. 

— I was going to marry you… — he continued. — But first, let me reveal a small secret.

Silence fell over the room.

The man took out his phone and played a recording. Within seconds, the girl’s voice echoed throughout the hall:

— He is so rich… we will get married, then everything will be in my name…
