A man in an expensive suit humiliated an elderly woman at the market who was simply selling vegetables and ruined all of her goods. But he couldn’t even imagine what kind of punishment awaited him very soon 

The elderly woman had been coming to this market almost every day for several years. After her husband passed away and her children moved to different cities, she had no other way to survive.

She sold vegetables from her own garden. Everything on her crates had been grown by her own hands. She planted, watered, and cared for them, spending her last money on seeds and fertilizer. She was already over seventy years old, her back ached, her hands trembled, but she still went to the market early every morning.

The locals had known her for a long time. Some just greeted her, others deliberately bought from her, even if it was a bit more expensive. Not out of pity, but out of respect for her hard work.

That day, a man in an expensive suit appeared at the market. Clean shoes, a costly watch, a confident stride. He stood out sharply among ordinary people. He approached the elderly woman, looked at the vegetables, and asked the price with a mocking smile.

When the woman calmly named the amount, the man’s face suddenly changed.

“So much money for smelly tomatoes? Are you serious?”

“Why smelly, my son? They’re fresh. I grew them myself,” she replied quietly.

“For that money, I could buy a ton of tomatoes like these,” he snapped angrily.

“That’s your choice, my grandson.”

Those words seemed to make him explode from the inside.

“How dare you call me your grandson? I could never be the grandson of someone like you. Look at yourself!” he shouted, drawing the attention of the people around him. “Do you really think anyone needs your miserable vegetables?”

He grew even angrier, began kicking the crate, knocked it over, and then shoved the elderly woman hard. She couldn’t keep her balance and fell straight off the chair onto the ground.

Furious, the man began stomping on the vegetables, crushing tomatoes and cucumbers under his boots, as if he wanted to destroy not just the goods, but the woman herself.

The elderly woman burst into tears and said in a trembling voice:

“These are my last savings… how am I supposed to live now?”

The people around froze. Some turned away, and no one dared to intervene. And at that very moment, something unexpected happened.  Continuation in the first comment 

A local man who had seen everything walked up to them. He forcefully pushed the man in the suit away from the elderly woman.

“What do you think you’re doing? She’s the same age as your mother. Have you completely lost your conscience?”

He helped the elderly woman up, gently sat her back down, and calmly said:

“Grandma, don’t cry. I’ll buy everything. Every last thing.”

The people around gasped. The elderly woman looked at him and couldn’t believe her eyes. She only whispered:

“God sent you… thank you.”

The man immediately called the police. When the officers arrived, the man in the suit was taken to the station. It turned out he had caused scandals before and was already under investigation. This time, he was facing real prison time and a heavy fine.

And the elderly woman was helped to gather the remaining money, while people came up to support her.
