When a man had an argument with his family at home, he decided to leave and go to one of his favorite places to relax.

The argument with his wife had a profound effect on him, and without looking back, he left the house in the pouring rain to get into his car and drive to one of his favorite places.

As the man left the house and headed to his car to start it and drive away, a completely drenched homeless child approached him and said,

“Sir, don’t drive. Your wife cut the brakes, and you could lose control of the car on the road.”

The man was sh0cked by the child’s words. They really made him think, and he wondered if the child was telling the truth.

“How do you know she’s my wife?” the man asked.

“She cut the brakes,” the child muttered, pointing toward the wheel. “The woman who did it was wearing a red dress.”

After the child’s description, the man’s doubts vanished, because during their argument, he remembered his wife had also been wearing a red dress.

The man gave the child enough money for the information to buy himself some food, and then hurried home to teach his wife a lesson for this act.

He went up to the house, his wife came out to meet him, and the man said:

“I know you did it. In our entire life together, one argument, and you cut my car’s brakes.”

The wife was shocked by her husband’s words and said she hadn’t done it. But the man didn’t believe her and was about to take action to punish his wife.

The idea was sound, but the husband thought his wife was just buying time. He finally agreed, and the two of them approached the monitor to view the security footage.

The man held his breath, and Lev still stood nearby, shivering from the cold.

And then something unexpected happened—the red dress did indeed appear at the car, but a stranger stood next to his wife. A few seconds later, the man realized it wasn’t his wife who had cut the brakes.

The woman’s face was covered by a hat, but the stranger’s movements were too fast and precise.

“Who… who is this?” — the man choked out, disbelieving his eyes.

His wife looked at him with alarm:
“I didn’t do it. You have to believe me.”

The man felt his insides tighten—instead of the expected betrayal, he saw an unfamiliar criminal trying to cause a tragedy, putting them both in danger.

His heart pounded so hard it seemed he could hear it through the walls. He looked at Lev and said:

“Did you see who it was?”

The boy nodded, his eyes sparkling with both fear and determination.

But the man’s heart calmed as he looked at the screen, and he realized it wasn’t his wife who had committed this act.

And who exactly had done it faded into the background—that fact no longer mattered to him, as he was certain he would learn the whole truth in time.

The main thing, however, was that his wife wasn’t involved, firmly cemented in his mind.
