After sending his wife on a seven-day business trip, the husband was thrilled to finally be alone with his mistress; but when he returned home, he had no idea that a real surprise was waiting for him there 
After sending his wife away for a week, the man was on cloud nine. She had no idea how secretly happy he was about her departure.
“They’re sending me away for a week,” she said while packing her suitcase. “How will you manage here without me?”
“I’ll manage, of course,” he muttered, but inside he was already counting the minutes until freedom.
On the way to the airport, he was already imagining how he would spend those days: silence, relaxation, and above all — the young mistress, almost fifteen years younger than he was. He had been waiting a long time for the moment when he wouldn’t have to hide and could live openly with her for at least one week.
As soon as his wife passed security, he couldn’t resist and immediately called his mistress:
“Get ready. I’m coming to pick you up. The house is all ours — a whole week!”
The girl agreed enthusiastically. Half an hour later, they were both standing in front of his apartment door. The man put the key in the lock, already dreaming of their “mini-life” without control or suspicion.
But the moment the door opened, they both froze. Inside, a terrifying surprise was waiting

Right in the middle of the living room stood his mother-in-law. Wearing an apron and holding a ladle, as if she had been the lady of the house for years.
“Oh, son-in-law, you’re back!” she said cheerfully, not even noticing his shock. “My daughter asked me to stay here for a week: clean, cook, take care of everything. So I thought I’d come a little earlier.”
The husband was speechless. Not a word. He only tried to discreetly block the view of the mistress behind him.
But the mother-in-law had already lifted her gaze. She saw the girl. She saw the suitcase. It took her three seconds to understand everything.
“And she… who is she?” she asked, narrowing her eyes.
“She’s… a colleague. Yes, a colleague. We… uh… are working on a project…” the husband started to mumble.
“A colleague?” the mother-in-law repeated, leaning forward slowly as if examining prey. “Interesting. And why is your ‘colleague’ arriving with luggage? On the very day my daughter flies to another country?”
The mistress tried to hide behind him even more, but it was too late. The mother-in-law had already pulled out her phone.
“Well then, we’re going to clear this up right now.”
She called her daughter. The wife, standing at the airport near the boarding gate, couldn’t believe it at first. Then she asked for a video call. She saw the mistress, saw the suitcase, saw her mother holding the ladle with the messy living room behind her — and she understood everything without a single word.
Two hours later, the wife was already home.
She walked in silently, without even looking at her husband. She simply said, coldly:
“I’m filing for divorce.”
The husband stood in the same spot, in the same gray home T-shirt, as if turned to stone. The mistress grabbed her things in a panic and ran out without even saying goodbye.
