When I first started my job, I thought it would be just that — a job. A desk, a paycheck, and a few polite coworkers. I never imagined it would slowly turn into something that felt more like a daily soap opera than a workplace.
My boss — charming, confident, the kind of man who could sell a dream with a smile — had everyone fooled. Everyone except me.
The rumors started quietly. Whispers about him and the new intern. Late-night meetings that didn’t make sense. Laughter behind closed doors. I told myself to stay out of it — that it wasn’t my business. But over time, the energy in the office changed. The tension became thick enough to feel.
