These conjoined twins share one body but have two heads: here’s what they look like 10 years later

These sisters, conjoined twins, share one pair of arms, one pair of legs, and a common pelvis, but have two heads and separate internal organs 😢 Despite their unique anatomy, they have learned not only to walk and run, but also to swim, ride a bike, play the piano, and even drive a car 😱

One of the sisters has even gotten married and dreams of having a child 😱 How the sisters look today, and a photo of the husband, were shown in the first comment 👇👇

Abby and Brittany Hensel are conjoined twins with an extremely rare anatomical condition: two individuals, but one body.

They have two heads, two necks, two spinal columns, two hearts, four lungs, and two upper digestive systems, but — a shared lower body: one pair of arms, one pair of legs, a common pelvis, and shared urinary and reproductive systems.

Each sister controls her half of the body: Abby the right side, Brittany the left. This means every movement requires precise, synchronized coordination.

For example, to simply walk forward, they must step in perfect rhythm. They learned this from a young age.

Since birth, Abby and Brittany have received a great deal of public attention. Their parents refused the idea of surgical separation, as such an operation would almost certainly have resulted in the death of one or both.

Instead, they did everything they could to help their daughters live as normal a life as possible.

The sisters attended a regular school and later graduated from Bethel University with a degree in education.

As children, they learned not only to walk and run, but also to swim, cycle, play the piano, and drive a car — with each girl controlling one arm and one leg.

After graduation, Abby and Brittany became elementary school teachers. They work in fifth grade, where Abby teaches math and science, and Brittany teaches English and history.

Even though they share the job, they receive a single salary — by their own choice.

In the spring of 2024, it was revealed that Abby married Josh Bowling — a nurse and a U.S. Army veteran. He also has a daughter from a previous relationship.

Brittany lives with them. The family lives in Minnesota, and according to people close to them, they have a warm and respectful relationship.
