Sally Field, born on November 6, 1946, had to overcome numerous obstacles at the start of her career, particularly criticism about her appearance, which was deemed unsuitable for the big screen.

Her Hollywood journey began with the TV series Gidget in 1965, before she gained greater success with The Flying Nun in 1967.

The daughter of a divorced father and a demanding stepfather, Sally found solace in theater, where she could fully express herself.

After finishing high school, she landed her first major role in Gidget, which later opened the door to The Flying Nun, where she portrayed Sister Bertrille. However, it was in film that she truly showcased her talent, earning two Academy Awards for her outstanding performances in Norma Rae and Places in the Heart.

Her television career was just as remarkable, earning her multiple Emmy Awards for her unforgettable roles in Sybil, ER, and Brothers & Sisters.

Despite doubts and resistance when transitioning to film, Sally took control of her career—she ended her partnership with her agent and left television behind to fully dedicate herself to the big screen.

Beyond her career, she is a proud mother. Her three sons, Peter, Eli, and Sam, have each made their mark in the entertainment industry, continuing an admirable artistic legacy.

Now 77 years old, Sally Field is living proof that talent and perseverance can break barriers and leave an unforgettable mark in Hollywood.
