Back at work after my vacation, a few days later, I made a strange discovery under my desk.  When I saw it, I couldn’t help but think it was a hidden surveillance device, especially because of the holes it had. I imagined a scenario where management was secretly watching me…  But you won’t believe what it actually was! 

It all started when I noticed this unusual object right under my desk. It had a pretty ordinary shape, but its holes seemed too perfect to be just decorative. Intrigued, I started inspecting it carefully, trying to figure out what it was.

At first, I thought it was a hidden listening device. Panicked at the thought of being monitored, I decided to check. I moved it closer to my computer, looking for cables or any technological components, but I found nothing unusual.

It was only when I paid closer attention that I noticed an engraving on it, which I hadn’t seen before. And then it all clicked: it was actually a trap for catching cockroaches!

At that moment, all my paranoia disappeared, and I realized that the exhaustion after my vacation had probably clouded my judgment.

This object was just a trap forgotten in the corner of the office. Although I’m a little embarrassed by my hasty conclusions, I’ve learned my lesson and will now pay attention to everything around me at work.
