She is now 61 years old, and today, try not to smile when you see her:  Here is this famous artist, I’m sure you know her.  She is the most beautiful and chic woman of our time.   

How many times have you thought about an old series you loved and wondered what the actors are doing after all this time?

Fans of actress Melissa Sue Anderson, who played Mary Ingalls, were convinced she would remain a central figure in their lives through the screen, but she had other plans in mind.

Her talent earned her several nominations for best actress in a dramatic series, and her fans knew she truly deserved it.

Anderson talked to Pop Entertainment in 2010 about her experience on the set of the drama that made her famous: “I was lucky that there was even a role for me, because there wasn’t much about her in the book.”

Laura [Ingalls, the author of the Little House novels on which the series was based] was much older when she wrote her books. She remembered the best moments of her life.

In an interview with E-Talk, she confessed: “I’ve been retired for a very long time. It was definitely for my children, so they could develop their own perception of themselves, instead of always being in my shadow.”

However, she hasn’t completely abandoned her acting career, opting for smaller roles lately.

The experience she had being part of a series like Our Little Farm encouraged her to write a book titled The Way I See It: A Look Back at My Life on Little House.
