decided to make a barbecue from old, unused bricks I dug a small hole, laid the bricks, and poured cement mix on them
In just a few hours, I had a real barbecue

I had long dreamed of a summer kitchen at the cottage, but I kept putting the idea off. Building a stove seemed complicated and expensive, and there was no time for large-scale projects.
However, one day while cleaning out an old shed, I found a pile of unused bricks. “Why not use them in a useful way?” I thought.
The decision came quickly: to make a barbecue! I quickly found a guide on the internet and got to work. First, I chose a convenient spot at the far edge of the property, where trees and bushes wouldn’t get in the way.
Next, I dug a small hole with sloping walls and carefully compacted the bottom so the soil wouldn’t collapse. The work didn’t take much time, and the result promised to be useful.
The next step was laying the bricks. On the cement mix, I placed neat rows of old, but still strong bricks.
I used fireproof bricks to ensure the structure would withstand the heat of an open fire. Soon, the simple but reliable barbecue was ready. All that was left was to wait for the cement mix to harden, and then we could do the first test.
That same evening, we decided with the family to try out our new summer kitchen. The hot fire quickly flared up, and soon the potatoes were roasting in the coals while fresh meat sizzled on the grill.
The aromas spread across the whole yard, and curious neighbors peeked in to admire the new barbecue.
Now, the warm summer evenings at the cottage are completely different. Friends and family gather around the fire, chat about the news, laugh, and enjoy the delicious food prepared with their own hands.
