In the link in the comments, you can see how the house looks now
Just a few years ago, this cute and cozy little house would hardly have impressed anyone. On the contrary, the sight was sad: the collapsed roof, the windows replaced by drafts, and the floors resembling a sieve.
Once, an elderly couple lived here, but with age, they had neither the strength nor the desire to take care of the house. The result: neglect and almost total destruction.
But fate had other plans.
The savior of the house was Anna Erman, a designer with fine taste and a true love for old things.
The overgrown garden beds looked like a wild jungle. The bushes intertwined with each other like in a fairytale forest.
The house was built in the 1970s and was only 76 m². The plot also had three dilapidated sheds and an old apple orchard.
Inside, everything also looked quite bleak. The walls were covered in mold, the furniture was broken or missing, and the floors creaked.
Anna didn’t demolish, but instead saved everything that could be saved.
She spent a long time looking for craftsmen who worked with wood in the old way – and found them. The house was painted in a rich yellow color.
On the ground floor, there’s the kitchen, a cozy living room, a dining area, and a bathroom. The second floor has two tiny bedrooms, but everything necessary fit in, even a full bed and a small desk.
The bathroom is a separate pride. Despite its compact size, there was space for a cast iron bathtub, an antique dresser, and floral-patterned curtains.
What do you think of the result?
