Sean Stephenson was born on May 5, 1979, in Chicago. Just minutes after his birth, doctors gave him a terrifying diagnosis: osteogenesis imperfecta.
This is a rare genetic condition that makes bones extremely fragile. The doctors didn’t believe the boy would live more than three days. But Sean defied fate from the very first moment of his life.
In his first 18 years, he suffered around 200 bone fractures. He stands only 90 cm tall and weighs 47 kg. On the outside, he appears fragile and vulnerable, but inside he possesses an extraordinary strength of will.
Since childhood, his days were filled with both physical and emotional pain. And yet, he managed to turn his suffering into strength.
In 1998, after rethinking his life, Sean made a life-changing decision: to become a motivational speaker. He began giving talks and sharing his experiences with audiences.
From that point on, his life changed dramatically. He became a licensed psychotherapist and the author of bestselling books on self-awareness and personal growth.
But his greatest victory came in his personal life. In 2011, Sean proposed to a woman named Mindie, and a year later they were married.
Their love defies all stereotypes. To this day, Mindie receives hateful messages from strangers accusing her of marrying for money.
The only thing missing from their life now is a child. Doctors say the chances are 50/50, but Sean and Mindie haven’t lost hope.
