I was helping my mother take care of her back and noticed some strange red marks on her skin At first, I thought they were from clothing or insect bites, but after a few days they got bigger
We had to go to the doctor quickly I’m sharing what it was and why it happens – if you see something like this, definitely see a specialist. Continued in the first comment
One evening, I was just helping my mother apply cream to her back after a shower, as usual. And suddenly… I saw several strange, bright red dots on her skin.
They were small, round, like little drops of blood under the skin. I had never seen anything like that on her before.
At first, I thought they might be clothing marks or bug bites. But they didn’t go away. In fact, the skin felt slightly raised in those areas.
I took a photo and showed it to a doctor online – and I was immediately told: “You need to see a dermatologist as soon as possible.”
We went to the clinic the next day. The doctor examined my mother carefully and immediately identified the condition – hemangiomas. He explained that these are benign growths made up of blood vessels.
In most people, they appear with age and are usually harmless. But in my mother’s case, they were growing too fast and located in an area where they could easily be irritated by clothing or while sleeping.
We went through tests and blood work. The doctor decided they needed to be removed. The procedure was quick and painless, but I was still very worried.
Thank God everything turned out fine. Now my mother only has a small, barely noticeable mark. And I’m thankful I noticed those spots in time.
Now I know: any change on the skin isn’t necessarily a reason to panic, but it is a reason to visit a doctor. Sometimes it’s just age-related, but sometimes it’s a warning sign that should never be ignored.
