The Network Mourns the End of an Era, Touching Millions of Hearts

Longtime Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy

announced on May 1 that he is stepping away from the

New York studio after decades on the show’s signature “curvy couch.

” Though leaving the daily in-studio role,

Doocy will continue as a Fox & Friends host,

reporting remotely from

Florida and traveling the

country as the show’s “coast-to-coast host.”

“I’m not stepping down,” he assured viewers.

“I’m still part of the crew — just transitioning to a new chapter.”

Doocy’s new setup allows

more time with his family,

including three children

and three grandchildren,

with a fourth on the way.

After years of 3:30 a.m. wake-ups,

he says he’s looking forward to finally

having breakfast with his grandkids.
