Until the very end, the little child could not believe that her father was no longer alive and had not left his coffin. When the truth came out, everyone stood frozen.

A little eight-year-old girl stood beside her father’s coffin, seemingly oblivious to everyone around her. She held her hands on the edge of the coffin and stared intently inside.

Her mother tried several times to pull her away, but the girl stubbornly remained where she was. She neither cried nor spoke—she simply watched in silence.

Guests arrived, bowed to offer their condolences, and then left, but the child remained motionless. All she asked for was a small chair to be closer to her father.

That evening, the adults began to worry: the girl neither ate nor spoke; she simply sat there watching, as if expecting something important.

No one noticed how she climbed onto the chair, carefully climbed into the coffin, and lay down next to her father. She put her arm around him and pressed herself close, as if she felt something. Seeing this, the grandmother screamed, and the adults rushed to the coffin.

At first, they thought the girl had lost consciousness, but then they realized the truth: the child wanted to be with her father in his final moments, as if saying goodbye could consist not only of words but also of a touch.

The room was filled with silence, heavier than any scream. This moment will forever be etched in the memories of those present as a strange and moving farewell, full of sincere emotions that cannot be expressed in words.

But that’s not all: that night, the girl didn’t even leave the coffin. When her mother approached and asked why she hadn’t left her father, the child replied that her father was still alive and only sleeping.
