Elaine Davidson is a woman impossible to ignore. She was once a Brazilian nurse, quiet, modest, and always ready to help others.

No one would have guessed that one day she would enter the Guinness World Records as the most pierced woman in the world.

Her first piercing was done when she was young — just a small earring, nothing special. But over time, Elaine realized that piercings helped her express herselfprotect herself, and feel stronger.

What began as a simple decoration became a way of life.

In 2000, representatives of Guinness officially recorded 462 piercings, of which 192 were on her face alone.

That might have seemed like the limit — but Elaine didn’t stop there. A year later, she had 720, and then thousands. According to the latest data, she now has over 11,000 piercings, and her jewelry weighs more than three kilograms.

Some piercings are on internal parts of her body, which she mentions with a gentle smile — suggesting that her record isn’t just a number, but a symbol of her devotion to herself.

Today, Elaine lives in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. She is 65 years oldmarried, and has the energy of a twenty-year-old.

She owns a small piercing studio, where she also reads tarot cardsdoes palm readings, and advises people who are seeking the courage to be themselves.

Her colorful hair, bright makeup, and countless pieces of jewelry are not just eccentricity — they tell the story of a woman who dared to be different.

Many still ask her: “Why do you do all this?”
She simply replies:

“I don’t live to please others. I live to be myself.”
