The dog never left the child’s side and kept sniffing his belly: at first, the parents thought it was just an innocent game — until they discovered the terrifying truth 

When their son turned one year old, the parents couldn’t have been happier — a cheerful, smiling baby, the pride of the whole family. But the one who loved him the most was their golden retriever, named Barney.

From the day the child was born, the dog hadn’t left him for a moment. Barney seemed to sense that this was his most important mission — to protect and care for the little one. They spent all their time together: sitting on the floor, playing, laughing. Sometimes it seemed as if there was an invisible bond between them.

The parents often stopped by the door of the nursery, touched by the sight.
