My husband tasted my pie and said, “You know, even my ex made better pies than you,” then threw it in the trash.

😯I made my husband’s favorite pie. He tasted it and said, “You know, even my ex made pies better than you.” Then he threw it in the trash. I couldn’t tolerate that, and this is what I did.

Yesterday, I decided to cheer up my husband. Lately, he’s been working a lot and often comes home exhausted. Since he loves pies, I wanted to treat him by making his favorite.

I bought all the necessary ingredients and spent several hours in the kitchen, just for him. I also had planned a special evening: good wine, candles to create a romantic atmosphere.

I found the dress I wore on our first date. Luckily, it still fit perfectly, and I decided to wear it.

Everything was ready, and I couldn’t wait to see him, to imagine his reaction. When he came home, I greeted him with the pie in my hands, all smiles. But as soon as he walked through the door, I saw he wasn’t in his usual state.

He seemed tired, distant. I rushed over to him excitedly, handing him the pie.

He looked at me and asked, “Why are you wearing that dress? It’s old, isn’t it?”

I ignored his words and offered him a taste of the pie, hoping it would help him relax. He took a spoonful, then said coldly, “You know, even my ex used to bake better than you.” Then he threw the pie in the trash.

I stood there, frozen, unable to comprehend what had just happened. I had put so much effort into this, and I really hadn’t expected a reaction like this. I had simply wanted to show him how much I loved him and how much he meant to me.

I couldn’t tolerate that, and this is what I did.

My husband tasted my pie and said, "You know, even my ex made better pies than you," then threw it in the trash.

I couldn’t help myself.

I took everything from the fridge and threw it in the trash.

“Do you want something better?” I asked him coldly.

My husband tasted my pie and said, "You know, even my ex made better pies than you," then threw it in the trash.

“Go eat at your ex’s house because she knows how to cook.”

He opened his mouth to reply, but no words came out.

I didn’t want to explain anything to him anymore.

My husband tasted my pie and said, "You know, even my ex made better pies than you," then threw it in the trash.

My efforts, my gestures, my attentions, all of that had no value in his eyes.

“I don’t want to be your second option anymore. If your life was better with her, go back. It’s as simple as that.”

I left him in the living room, shocked, without even giving him a chance to react.
